                                   Deputy Attorney General

RE:                                Federated Health Campaign
                                     May 1st to May 31st, 2000

Spring is finally here!  It’s time once again for the Federated Health Campaign.  Lloyd Wallen, from Program Support in Family Justice Services Division, is coordinating MAG’s campaign this year.

The campaign will run from May 1st to May 31st.  Canvassers will be calling on you, their colleagues, to ask for donations.  You may also be hearing about other special fund-raising activities throughout the month.  I encourage you all to support the campaign and participate in the special events.

Federated Health has been a major contributor to the fight against life-threatening and life-changing conditions for the past 17 years.  The money you donate goes towards research, health education and promotion programs and essential patient support services for the following 15 health charities:

The Alzheimer Society of Ontario
The Arthritis Society – Ontario Division
Canadian Cancer Society – Ontario Division
Canadian Cystic Fibrosis Foundation
Canadian Paraplegic Association (Ontario)
Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation of Canada
Canadian Diabetes Association
Canadian Liver Foundation
Heart & Stroke Foundation of Ontario
Hemophilia Ontario
The Kidney Foundation of Canada
Ontario AIDS Network
Ontario Federation for Cerebral Palsy
The Ontario Lung Association
Osteoporosis Society of Canada

For more information on the Federated Health charities, please visit the OPS intranet site at http://intra.gov.on.ca/MBSPASB/fh.

If you have questions about the campaign in your area, please e-mail the MAG Federated Health Campaign coordinator, Lloyd Wallen, at Lloyd.Wallen@jus.gov.on.ca.

I appreciate your support for this worthy cause.
