The minutes of the September 15th , 1999 meeting were approved. The November 17th, 1999 meeting was cancelled.

Workplace Safety and Insurance Board Forms

T. Edstrom brought up several situations that have occurred lately where managers have been unfamiliar with the WSIB Form 7s (how to fill out) as well, do not have any forms or have current revised forms. Also noted was that Human Resources Branch assistance was limited and some staff were unfamiliar with process.

Management will undertake to inform Human Resources Branch and ask for an update on procedures.

M. Wolstenholme suggested that the committee send a joint letter of thanks to building management to thank them for the seasonal decorations in the lobby. M. Wolstenholme to draft letter of thanks and then obtain joint signatures. Current decorations need to be replaced in approximately 3-4 years. A brief discussion outlining timing of future fundraisers occurred but the topic is to be deferred to a later time (late summer).

 OPSEU Local 524 Internet Web Site 

T. Edstrom note that in February, the Local 524 will have an internet website which will attach to the OPSEU home page. He will inform management of the URL when available.

Due to changes in committee membership, each Chair will submit to Grace Lin, a revised list of membership (members and back up). A revised list will then be posted on each floor.

Management will chair the next meeting of the Local Employee Relations Committee
